Christmas provides an opportunity to reflect on the birth of the infant Jesus – the God-child who shows us the very face of the unseen God.

Normally, Christmas at St Paul’s is celebrated with three evening Masses as well as a morning Mass. For 2017, because there will already be Masses for Sunday, there will only be two evening Masses.

A priest is only allowed to celebrate 3 Masses in any 24 hour period, so we will have a different Christmas timetable for this year only. Please note the following carefully!

Saturday 23 December – Fourth Sunday of Advent

  • 6pm Sunday Mass

Sunday 24 December – Fourth Sunday of Advent

  • 10am Sunday Mass ONLY

In 2017, Christmas day falls on a Monday.
Attending any of the Christmas Eve Masses will not cover your Sunday obligation.
Christmas Carols are sung at each of the services.

Christmas Eve – Sunday 24 December

  • 6pm Christmas Mass – for families with young children
  • Midnight Christmas Mass – for all who like the traditional Midnight Mass

Christmas Day – Monday 25 December
